remove the black plastic radiator cover (push-pins) then remove the two bolts holding the headlamp in unplugh the bulb harness and remove mess around with the screws and clips on the headlight assembly, but i dont know if you can take the front clear plastic piece off. (and be able to put it right back on..)
Open the hood and find the electrical lead into the headlamp: that plugs directly into the bulb, which is screwed into the headlamp. You just need to remove the plastic shield over the back of the headlamp to gain access, unplug the electrical lead, and unscrew the bulb. Replace the bulb, reattach the lead, and reinstall the shield. A 10-minute job!
To change a headlamp on an MK 3 Vauxhall Astra 1992 model, open the hood and locate the back of the headlamp to be replaced. Twist the headlamp off and replace with new.Ê
Disconnect the batteries on both sides... negative terminals first... next physcially remove the batteries so you can access the back of each headlamp.. next replace the bulb only from the back access and remember "do not touch the bulb with your hands" oil from your skin will cause the bulb to burn out.
You have to remove the dashboard, then remove the instrument cluster. On the back of the cluster, you'll find that you can unscrew the bulbs from the back and replace them. I've done it myself on my own 99 Sunfire --- CanadianCynosure
leopen hood of vehicle. The headlamp is in a case that comes out. Headlamp screws in and out of it. Replace, and then put case back in. - Or stop at Auto Store, play dumb and have them do it for you (that's how I found out! )
Its easier to access it from the top than the bottom!
Is it a Beetle ? if it is a beetle open the hood . locate headlamp. Next to headlamp unit undr hood is a hook or half hook shaped ring . unlock the tab under the hook and push hook downwards to release the headlamp unit . once removed unplug unit . remove back cover on headlamp. replace defective bulb . to reinstall headlamp line up ythe rails on the headlamp unit aNd push headlamp back into housing . make sure locking ring is engaged fully .
First pull the wiring connector from the back of the headlamp assembly. Then remove the gasket around the back of the headlamp out using the two pull tabs on the top and bottom. After that, you have to push down a thin metal clip to unhook the lamp. Once unhooked just replace the lamp and reassemble!
After 2 days of screwing with mine here is what I found: Open the hood There are 2 clips on top of the headlamp unit. Lift them. Pull the headlamp unit away from the vehicle. In back of the head lamp you will see a small round cover. Remove that cover and you should have access to the bulbs. Disconnect the wiring harness from the bulb. Remove the headlamp bulb by turning the socket counter clockwise. Install the replacement bulb by turning it clockwise. Re-assemble the headlamp.
If you mean just the bulb, they are accessed from the trunk. Pull the carpet away from the back of the car and untwist the bulb holder. Replace the bulb and screw the holder back in.
Remove the wiring harness from the back of your 1999 Chevy Astro headlamp. Remove the headlamp retaining bolts. The headlamp will come out. Reverse the process to install the new headlamp.
Make sure the headlights have been off for at least 45 minutes before you attempt to replace one of them. Remove the wiring harness on the back of the headlamp you wish to replace. Next, turn the weather cover clockwise and remove it. Inside the assembly, you'll see some retaining clips on the socket. They need to be released. Next, slide the socket out of the assembly and remove the bulb. Insert the new bulb, put the socket back into the assembly, and replace the clips. Put the weather cap back on and reattach the wiring harness.
there are a couple mounting screws that hold the headlamp assembly on, unscrew them and the headlamp assembly should come out... and then you pull the connector off the headlamp by pulling up gently on the locking tabs and pulling back at the same time. then twist the locking ring, remove the old lamp and dispose of, replace w/new lamp and reverse directions. the lamp should only fit in the holder one way and there are notches in the headlamp assembly to make you insert it that way. some people with smaller hands can do this without removing the headlamp assembly but i have some bearclaws so i have to take the lamp out to replace the lightbulbs.
I have a 1999 Forester, but I imagine the 2003 is similar in this regard. You don't actually need to remove the headlamp to replace the bulb. On my car, I unplug the wire from the bulb at the back of the headlamp, remove the large rubber piece around the back of the bulb, unclip the clips that hold the bulb in place, remove and replace. Cheers! Mark This is a good answer and is so just as stated. Thanks Mark! RicT
undo the plastic screws on the grill and slide it out. There are two clips to pull out either side of the headlamp. Disconnect the wires at the back of the headlamp then pull the whole unit out. It is easy and takes about 10 minutes to replace
You need to replace the 2 shocks that are on it. They are what keeps it opened.
I need help on fixing my back brakes on my 1997 sunfire
If you cant get to it from the front, you will probably have to look from the back and see where the wires connect to the back. Then you should be able to unscrew the fixture from the plastic and replace the bulb.
Open hood. On the inside (toward the center of the car) of each headlamp is a plastic clamp fixing one side of the headlamp. On the ouside from the top unscrew the bolt holding the other side of the headlamp assembly. Lift the lamp assembly out of the car and remove (pull off)the connector to the bulb. Next peal the rubber boot from the back of the headlamp assembly. This will expose a spring clip that holds the halogin bulb in the headlamp assembly. Remove bub and replace with a new bulb being carefull to only touch the bulb by its metal base connector. Do not touch the glass areas.
You have to remove the intake manifold to access the plugs in the back.
Gain access to the back of the console and screw the retainer back on to the receptacle.
No access, you have to drop the tank.
There is plenty of space on the f550 just reach behind the unscrew the bulb counter clock wise and then replace it with new and twist it back in clock wise.
NO. if you open the hood and look on the back of the head lamp you will see the plug that holds the bulb. give it a quarter turn (can't remember which way) and then pull out. the bulb will come with it. if it is the passenger side you have to take the battery out to access it. drivers side is a piece of cake.
you can see the plugs on the back of the light. lift the trunk and look past the license plate . the twist out . righty tighty lefty lousy . pull them out. its tight but they come out. use needle nose pliars, but be gentle.
