remove the black plastic radiator cover (push-pins) then remove the two bolts holding the headlamp in unplugh the bulb harness and remove mess around with the screws and clips on the headlight assembly, but i dont know if you can take the front clear plastic piece off. (and be able to put it right back on..)

You have to remove the dashboard, then remove the instrument cluster. On the back of the cluster, you'll find that you can unscrew the bulbs from the back and replace them. I've done it myself on my own 99 Sunfire --- CanadianCynosure

Disconnect the batteries on both sides... negative terminals first... next physcially remove the batteries so you can access the back of each headlamp.. next replace the bulb only from the back access and remember "do not touch the bulb with your hands" oil from your skin will cause the bulb to burn out.
leopen hood of vehicle. The headlamp is in a case that comes out. Headlamp screws in and out of it. Replace, and then put case back in. - Or stop at Auto Store, play dumb and have them do it for you (that's how I found out! )
