well its complicated you have to remove the glove box and disconnect the cable that controls the hot/cold setting on the controls then you have to remove all the scres holdin face plate on some are underneath so you have to take out the ash tray to get to them make shure you take off all the knobs for climate control and the radio then disconnect everything you need to so you can work on the faceplate

Remove the " Radio 'vent screen' " by poping it out, remove the screws ( 2 or 3 )l, then on the underside 'across the top, remove screws ( 3 or 4 ) from Radio over toward the left, then 'whole panel' across can be removed.
Yup just cut it off!! That's what I did on my 88 Caprice Brougham!!
