you pull it off, sometimes they are stubborn and you just have to hit them off with a hammer

I had to change the bearings in the wifes Focus. Release emergency brake with car securely on stands. Remove rear brake drum. The bearing is pressed in to the drum. If you do not have a press take the drum and new bearing to a shop. Do not attempt to hammer the new bearings in. You can very easily damage them. They are expensive.
Remove the tire and wheel from your 1988 Ford Ranger pickup truck. Remove the brake pads. When the brake drum is not loose you can tap on it with a hammer or mallet. Once the brake drum is loose it will slide off.
you must pull the axles, remove the bearings and then the hub/brake drum assmbly. comes off as one unit.
Remove the dust cap on the brake drum. There is a 30MM laminate nut under it. This is torqued to 192 Ft lbs remove it and the brake drum will come off leaving the wheel spindle and brakes in place. The drum actually hold the bearing a new seal should be added as well since you have the drum off

You must remove the center dust cap then remove the spindle nut. You need to tap the drum with a rubber mallet to remove it.
Nut you see after you remove the dust cover, in the middle of the drum, 30mm socket needed to remove
Remove wheel and brake drum Disconnect brake line Should be held on by 2 small bolts throught the backing plate
Turn down the adjustor, and it should slide right off.
