Disconnect the battery to prevent any electric shorts or shocks. Unscrew the speakers from their mounts and go through the trunk to remove the rear deck speakers. Replace the old speakers with the new speakers and screw them in. Connect the battery again and test your speakers.
u have to remove the rear deck lid, speakers r underneath how do you remove the rear deck lid on the 2005 Nissan altima
no
Remove rear seat, them remove rear deck to get to the speakers.
you have to remove the entire deck lid inside to remove the rear speakers. remove the side of the interior that is right on top on the deck lid and covering part of the roof liner. remove the big blk plastic push clips holding the deck lid and carpet to the trunk. it should be able to come out now and expose the rear speakers
All you do is remove your back deck, the three pins on the front behind the seats. Then you can use a small socket or screw driver to remove the speakers. Dont try and remove the plastic panels from the deck. Also, a neat thing to do if your gonna take it off, on the deck there is a 90degree panel area between the speaker covers, try cutting it out an fitting a neon in, it looks pretty sweet if you do it correctly.
Remove the dash pad, then remove the speakers from the dash frame. For the rear speakers, open the trunk and remove the brackets, that hold the speakers in place. not for the back speakers ..you have to remove the lower rear seat then remove the seat belts then the rear seat back then remove the header panels in the back seat then remove the deck cover ..the rear speakers are bolted in from the top down under the rear deck cover....and the front speakers i believe are mounted in the door panels in the front doors ..you have to remove the door panels to remove them .some do have them in the dash also if they are there u do as the person stated before me.
you hump them until they start to get dents. then replace them they are discusting now.
You need to do a lot if it is like my 1995. You need to remove the back seat remove the back of the back seat remove the screws holding the rear deck.. where the speakers are. then remove the screwss... what a pain.
Remove the cover in the rear window.
Buy trim removal tool first if you do not have one. Fold rear seats down. Pop 3 trim clips between carpet and rear deck lid...usually yellow or blue. Remove plastics from behind windows. Lift rear deck lid carpet. Use 9mm socket wrench or stubby Phillips to remove 3 bolts while holding deck lid carpet up. Remove speakers and housings.
