take the wheel off, remove brake caliper, remove brake caliper bracket and pull the rotor toward you or use a hammer. its not bolted on. it just sits on there.
How do you remove the rear brake rotor on a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500?
unadjust the rear parking break.... or the rotor is rusted to the axel.
I assume that you have removed the wheel and so on. In order to remove the rotor you will have to remove the caliper and its bracket. Only after you will be able to remove the rotor.
Remove the tire and wheel. Remove the brake pads and break hardware. The rotor will slide off. You may need to tap the rotor with a hammer.
remove the wheel ,caliper and caliper bracket the rotor should slip off
Remove the caliper, remove the caliper bracket, and remove speed clips that hold rotor. If the rotor is stuck , take a hammer and hit it squarely between the wheel studs.
the E-Brake is located inside the rear rotor. to properly adjust it you have to remove rear rotor and adjust and readjust to correct adjustment.
First remove caliper. Second remove caliper bridge. Third remove rotor. If sized use penetrating fluid and tap rotor with a hammer.
front or rear rotor? jack up wheel that needs rotor removed. remove wheel remove brake pads and caliper for back axle, remove axle nut. u will need special socket to remove this nut slide rotor off axle, making sure u dont drop bearings on the ground to remove front rotor on4x4, it is pretty much the same as rear , except you will have to remove locking hub from axle before you can remove axle nut.
