To remove the slide from an Iver Johnson TM22PB Trailside:
(1) pull the slide back
(2) push down on the take down button (top of the slide in front of the rear sights)
(3) push the slide forward (if you did this correctly the recoil spring is pinned and the slide will not be forced closed).
(4) take the side grips off
(5) drift the mainspring housing pin out
(6) remove the mainspring housing (the spring is pinned so there's no worry of anything launching).
(7) take the slide off
Cheers

Is it possible? Yes. Will we tell you how? Absolutely not.
The first Iver Johnson .22 auto target pistol was produced in 1911. This model was part of a series of semi-automatic pistols designed for target shooting. Iver Johnson was known for its innovative designs and reliable firearms during the early 20th century.
Iver Johnson made the Trailblazer semi auto .22 rifle
No. M1 carbines were made semi-auto only. M2 carbines had a selector lever for simi-automatic or full automatic. Iver Johnson never made M2 carbines.
Iver Johnson made the semi auto carbine in .22cal from 1985-1990.They made the Magnum semi auto carbine in .22mag.from 1985-1990.They made the Plainsfield semi auto carbine in .30 carbine,or 9mm Para. from 1978-1993.During this time span they also made a Paratrooper semi auto carbine.I hope this helps.
The Enforcer pistol was basically a scaled .30 cal M1 rifle legally sold & registered as a pistol. They were made by both Universal and Iver Johnson. The Iver Johnson had a stock that was grooved out at the right of the bolt for the addition of an M2 auto sear that the Universal did not have and the IJ bolt grouping was more "auto convertible" friendly as well. The IJ was often sold in a full auto version to Law Enforcement agencies.
yes there is a diagram at gunpartscorp.com and to take it apart first remove the mag then clear the firearm open the slide and lock it open there is a button on top in front of the rear sight that looks like a pin depress tha with the slide locked it the rear postition . then remove the grips and drive the pin out of the lower part of the frame slowly remove the punch and then the back strap it pulls out then downward then the slide will come off. note do not take any further apart unless your are a pro they are a pain. repeat process in reverse to put back together . good luck

The Auto & Burglar shotgun was an Ithaca product, not an Iver Johnson. It was a double barrel 20ga pistol made from 1922-1934. Typically had 10" barrels. These guns are considered 'Any Other Weapons' under the National Firearms Act, and although registered and "papered" specimens can be worth $1000 or more, UNregistered guns are contraband and can not be possessed nor sold. sales@countrygunsmith.net
To break down a semi-automatic Iver Johnson .22 pistol, first ensure the firearm is unloaded by removing the magazine and checking the chamber. Next, locate the takedown lever, usually found on the left side of the frame, and rotate it to the disassembly position. Pull back the slide slightly, then lift it off the frame, followed by removing the recoil spring and barrel. Always refer to the specific model's manual for detailed instructions and safety precautions.
