Unlike all previous years, the 2010 Prius (especially the series V) has a cowl overhang panel where the windshield wipers and interior ventilation inlets are that must be COMPLETELY removed (over 20 connectors/bolts) before the plug connection tubes can be extracted from the OHC spark plug hole.

The days of "Shade Tree" mechanics is "Pretty Much Over".

It would 'almost' be easier to unbolt the Motor Mounts and tip the entire Engine/Tran/Hybrid-Motor assembly forward a few degrees... "Almost"!

I actually received this wonderful news from a Toyota Dealer Technical Assistance Hotline, normally used be internal Toyota personnel, but I somehow sweet-talked my way into a connection, and was given the direct, courteous answer.
