Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery (if you have a 90's model, you'd better get the codes for your radio, first). Jack up the right side of the car enough for you to crawl underneath the area behind the right wheel (That's where your starter is hanging out). As you look up at the engine and transmission, you'll find the starter at the borderline between the engine and tranny. Loosen the bolt connecting the wire to the starter unit. Loosen the two bolts that fasten the starter to the transmission bell housing. Now, carefully (because this sucker is heavier than it looks) wiggle the unit loose from the bell housing and route it around all the suspension components that they put in the way just to make this procedure more difficult than it should be. Installation is the reversal of the removal with the only difference being that gravity is now working against you. What I mean is, that starter is HEAVY! Good luck, and thank's for using WikiAnswers.
Jack up the passenger side of the car. Disconnect the battery. Disconnect all wires to the starter. Remove both bolts. Using BOTH hands, jiggle the starter out of the hole. Replacement is a reversal of the removal.
The starter is located on the passenger side of the transmission bell housing, where the transmission mates with the engine block.
remove battery cable remove gear change lever remove two bolts thru starter then work it out .' that's it
Disconnect the - battery terminal Raise and support vehicle if needed Disconnect wiring harness from top of starter Remove mounting bolts Drop starter
I DO BELIEVE THE SOLENOID IS MOUNTED ON THE STARTER AND YOU WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE THE STARTER TO REPLACE THE SOLENOID remove the starter and take it down to your local auto parts store. they can bench test the starter and give you the proper solenoid if it needs to be replaced.

UNLOCK THE HOOD AT THE HINGES AND FLIP THE HOOD ALL THE WAY UP, THEN THE SPRINGS WILL COME RIGHT OUT
yes
From what I've learned you have to remove the exhaust pipe and then get to the starter, unless you know exactly what you're doing and have the required bolts (which have to melted off, depending on wear) your best bet would be to go to a mechanic and have them replace it.
The SAC22 does not have a starter relay.
