I have a 91 Accord and found out ( after removing almost the whole dash ) that there are 2 screws up behind the stereo....Basically laid on the floor with my legs up the seat and head under the dash to find it. Hope this helps :D
Someone explains it here Someone explains it here http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=661308
You must remove the front of the dash. Everything around the stereo. Very time consuming. Just remember where the parts and all the screws go when you go to put it back together. It is not that difficult. Good Luck.
To remove the factory stereo on 1996 dodge ram 1500 you need to pop the hood on the Ram and remove the ashtray. Slide the stereo out of the dash and unplug the cables from the back of the stereo.
You pull the dash from below the shift knob. (Put your finger on rubber sack, and dig down and yank the plastic) Remove the shift knob Pull bottom dash over shifter pull upper dash from the bottom and just yank the whole thing out.
In dash/console area directly below the stereo
bad cluster
The stereo can be removed by first removing the dash cover. On the bottom side of the cover that is in front of the stereo are two screws. Remove them, and then use two large, flat screwdrivers (wrapped in a soft cloth to protect the dash) to carefully pry off the cover.
1. from bottom of trim panel around stereo pull from dash. 2. pull panel down to release latches at top. 3. remove 4 screws securing car stereo and pocket to dash. 4. pull car stereo forward, disconect antenna and connectors.
The real answer: Remove the stereo from the dash board and disassemble it to release the disk. I had a new stereo so I used a hammer and a big screw driver the last time I had to do this.
