AnswerThe round base that is up against the ceiling needs to turn counter clockwise about a third of a rotation then it will drop out. mine was stuck so tight that I had to crush that round base before it would turn and come out but since I was replacing the visor (sounds like what you are doing) it was garbage anyway.put screwdriver in slot then pull visor toward you using visor to rotate entire bracket including screwdriver a quarter turn ., will pop right out , the visor bar gives you the leverage to rotate it with out breaking it .
