First you need to drain the system of refrigerant. If you go to the line on the driver side of the vehicle you can use a screw driver in the valve there to release the refrigerant. Similar to draining the air from a tire. You can also take it to a certified A/C shop to collect the refrigerant if you want to do the legal/expensive thing.
Remove the serpentine belt
Remove the bolt from the rear of the compressor that attached the 2 steel lines. Be careful to not lose the seals at this location. Also be careful of left over pressure in the system it will definitely come out here.
Remove the electrical connector to the compressor
Remove the bolts from the front of the compressor and you are done.
