When you open the ashtray compartment, push down the top lid on the ashtray halfway and hold it with one hand and pull it straight up and out by that middle cigarette holder with your other hand.

For the Buick Skylark: You would go in through the trunk and remove the attaching hardware for the tail light assembly. After the tail light assembly is off, replace the bulb, and put the assembly back on. For the Volvo: you will either need to remove the outer casing to access the bulb OR go through the trunk and access the bulb through the package tray.
There is a little door on the right of the ash tray. You to remove the ash tray an then move the door to the left and you will see the plug.
Take out the ash tray and unscrew the screw back there that holds the kit in place.
Check underneath of the battery box.. Take out battery and remove the box/tray that holds it.. It should be in plain view there...

Under the radio. Behind the ash tray. Remove the ash tray, remove a plastic enclosure, and you will see the fuses
The tray bolts to the driver's seat. While the Tray is up, pop off the plastic part on the Driver seat that covers the covers up where the tray arm mounts to the driver's seat. Unbolt the two bolts securing the tray arm to the seat. Remove the tray, replace bols and cover.

It is under the ash tray in the center console. Just remove the tray and you will see it..............
"sticks" it means that when the baking is done and you take it out, it is stuck to the baking tray and is hard to remove from the tray.
