How can the Clutch peddle moving parts be lubricated and with what lubricant.
The short answer is about a full day. Clutch replacement of an MGB, Roadster or GT entails the removal of the engine/transmission assembly from the car, then separating the two to access the clutch. There is no practical way to get to the clutch any other way, as the transmission cannot be removed with the engine in place.
The 2002 PT cruiser is equipped with an automatic transmission. The automatic transmission does not have a standard clutch. The transmission will need to be completely rebuilt.
Remove the transmission. Remove the clutch plate and springs. Remove the clutch. Reverse the process to install the new clutch.
you cannot change the CLUTCH on an AUTOMATIC transmission. wow
clutch plate disc and throwout bearing
it is easier just to pule the motor that to pule the transmission when you get it out the clutch is right there
To replace the clutch you must separate the engine and transmission. For a front wheel drive vehicle, separating the engine and transmission can only be accomplished by removing the engine.
Block the wheels, place a transmission jack under the transmission and secure the transmission to the jack, unbolt the flywheel, drop the transmission, remove the pressure plate and clutch plate, replace the pressure plate, attach the clutch plate and ensure you torque the bolts to manufacturer's specifications (this is especially important), remove your alignment tool, replace the transmission, reinstall the driveshaft.
To replace the transmission clutch on any stick shift vehicle, remove the engine and/or transmission. The engine and transmission must be separated since the clutch is between them. Pull the flywheel and have it resurfaced. replace the flywheel, following recommended procedures. Use a new pilot bushing/glan nut. Replace the clutch disk using a NEW pressure plate assembly and be certain to align the disk using a pilot shaft. Re-install the engine/transmission in the reverse order that you took it/them out.
Unfortunately, you have to remove the transmission.
you have to pull the transmission
You will need to remove the transmission to replace the clutch slave.
