I just did this yesterday on my 03 corolla. First of the three climate control knobs, pull the center knob off by just pulling, the one that controls fan speed I believe is the center one. There is a screw with a Phillips head under it, you need to take that off. Then that whole piece should just pull off. You will probably have to pull the plastic that surrounds your shifter as well, it also just pulls off. Then once you have that center piece pulled out you should have plenty of room to get behind it and pull the clock out.
