I took my thumbnail just above the page back, forward buttons, thence, I took a small straight blade screw driver and gently pried around the perimiter. Came right off.
I was having the five way controller issue not working, and,,,, guess what I found!!
Three loose screws, charging the cell and looking forward to the shadetree repair.
Amazon said throw it out, and purchase a new one!!
