Actually, you do not need to remove the dash faceplate. The center bezel just snaps off. It is best to start around the lower part, near the read wiper/defroster switches. There are four snaps, two on each side.Answerthere are 4 screws, Phillips that is, that 2 are above the odometer and one is at the headlight pull switch and other is at the stogie lighter. that's all there is, and pull up and out. easy.

To change the positive battery cable on a 1988 Jeep Cherokee trace the end of the cable to the starter. Unplug the battery then remove the cable from the starter. Measure the old positive cable with the new and be sure to replace the unit at the right size.

Lift the car, remove the tire, remove the brake shoe/caliper and remove the old brake pad. Next put in the new brake pads, put the brake shoe/caliper in its place, put the tire back on the car and lower the car.
Assuming you are asking about a 4.0L engine... Remove the distributor cap. Remove the rotor. Unplug the camshaft positioning sensor from the harness. Lift carefully where the cable feeds through the distributor to the CMP and remove. Put replacement CMP in the same place and connect it to the harness. Replace the rotor and distributor cap.
