Center the mirror left/right displacement and tilt full down to provide access at the top of the mirror housing. There are two tabs easily accessible with a flat head screwdriver. Lift each tab and gently pull the top of the cover away from the assembly until the tabs remain unleashed. Note: There is two-sided foam tape that provides resistance during this process...multiple efforts may be required. Once the top tabs are released, the cover should separate with ease while the bottom tabs (U-shaped) act like hinges. If your mirror assembly has turn signal lighting, the electrical cord can be detached by removing the bulb from the light housing. Reverse the process for reassembly.
Remove the exterior side mirror turn signal cover. You can remove the cover by prying outward on the retaining clips. Take hold of the lightbulb, push in and turn at the same time to remove. Reverse the process to install the new lightbulb.
