The fuel pump is located inside of the fuel tank. The fuel will need to be drained and the tank removed to access the pump. Remove the fuel filler hose and the two bolts (near the rear bumper) and corresponding tank straps around the tank. Make sure you support the tank when removing the straps. Once the tank has been partially lowered, remove the supply, return and vent piping connections at the top of the tank. Unplug the power/fuel gauge sending unit (in front of the rear crossmember, ahead of the axle). Pull the tank out from under the truck. Use a brass punch and rotate the clamp ring until it comes away from the tank. At this point you can pull the pump/gauge sender assembly out. Replace the pump, making sure that you also replace the fuel sock. Be careful not to bend the float linkages. Assembly is the reverse of removal. Good luck, it takes about 4 hours in a driveway.
PS Since a partially clogged fuel filter probably caused the pump failure, you should probably replace that, too.
