detach the bulbs and remove the clips behind the headlight assembly
it is behind the passenger side headlight assembly. you will have to remove the headlight assembly to replace it.
Open the hood, remove the two locks that hold the headlight assembly in place, with the two locks removed you can wiggle the headlight assembly out and gain access to the back side of the assembly to remove and replace the headlight bulb.

Best answer I've found, in my search for the same answer is that you have to remove the headlight assembly to get access to the bulb (thanks Toyota, for making this easy! I didn't expect it to be harder to do this simple task on a Toyota than of my Dodge Caravan for God's sake!) You have to remove the headlight assembly mounting screws and remove the headlight assembly. Remove the power cable by squeezing the lock clip to release the cable, then release the bulb from the headlight assembly. Reverse process for the new bulb. I've only read how to do this - not done it on my own yet, so I expect to learn (and be frustrated) in my own replacement efforts later today. Hope this helps.

Hi, You have to remove the entire headlight assembly to get to the bulb, which is located in the back of the assembly. There are three wing nuts that hold the assembly in, and those will have to be removed. Then remove the side signal assembly first, then the headlight assembly. Remove the wiring harness from your 2000 Kia headlight. Remove the headlight assembly retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new headlight assembly.
Remove the headlight assembly above the faulty signal bulb. This will give you access to the signal bulb socket. To remove the headlight assembly, open the hood, stand in front of the headlight assembly, notice two black tabs sticking up behind the headlight assembly inside the radiator support. Pull up and wiggle the tabs to remove them, this will release the headlight assembly. You can now wiggle the headlight assembly out to gain access to the signal bulb socket for replacement.

Under the headlight on the drivers side (you must remove the headlight first).
1) open the hood. 2) Carefully remove the three screws holding the headlight assembly in place. In my case the screws were black. Be careful as they are screwed into plastic. 3) Carefully slide the headlight assembly out. At this point you can replace the headlight bulb, turn signal bulb, or the entire headlight assembly. To replace the headlight bulb turn the collar holding the bulb in counter clockwise. Pull the bulb out of the headlight assembly. Replace the bulb. Insert the bulb into the headlight assembly insert the collar and turn clockwise until it locks. 4) Carefully insert the headlight assembly back into place. 5) Replace the three screws removed in step 2 being carefull not to over tighten.
simply remove the two screws located on the top of the headlamp assembly and then pull the headlamp assembly forward to gain access to the light bulbs
