When I installed seat covers on cars like yours, I would take a hacksaw blade and slide it down the shaft of the headrests to trip the catch which is down about 8 inches or so.Pull the headrest up, slide blade as far down as possible, push down headrest with blade and then pull up.This only works on flat support headrests but they all release like this if there is no visible release lever. You might have to fashion a tool if you have round headrest supports.
put the headrest all the way up, get a piece of skinny, thin metal strip(like a slim jim) and push it down the headrest shaft(the front side) and as your pushing the metal(slim jim) down, push the headrest down at the same time. this will release the locking mechanism on the headrest.

I had the same problem when try to get my seat covers on. What you have to do is lift up the head rest as far as you can then get something like a clothes hanger and stick it in that groove in the metal part under the head rest. Then you push the headrest all the way down. So then you pull it back up,take out the hanger, and it should come off.
The clips that hold them in are fitted into the plastic tubes that are UNDER the outer seat covering trim.
You need to undo the hog rings on the base of the backrest, peel up the fabric, then remove the circlip like pins in the top of the headrest tubes.
If you reef at the headrest you'll either bust off the retainers, or wreck the top of the seat frame.
pull hard, there is no mechanism holding it in, check out crownvic.net
The headrest on a 2008 F-150 can be removed to install seat covers by first pushing the headrest to one side or the other. Then, lift straight up on the headrest.
There is a small hole on each plastic retainer. Push a pin or punch or paper clip in it , depress button and viola! Done
Bench seat. Push down, push back, and pull up. Should work.
Remove headrests (release catch on top of seat) and lift headrests until they remove from seat back. Release latch on top of seats near the side of seats and lay seats forward.
How to remove front seats on 1971 vw Beatle
In older cars, most seats had a low back with adjustable headrests. Over time most have been replaced with high-back seats with no adjustable headrests.
If you will carefully press in on the backside of the material of the front seat back following a straight line downward from the headrest post you will come to a tab at the end of the post. Raise the headrest to the upmost position, press with your thumb on the material and against the tab while putting just a small amount of upward pressure on the headrest and the tab will release the post. You have to do this to both posts of the headrests to remove them from the front seats. I have an 89 240 and the headrests do come off, as do all 240 wagons.
There are bolts that you must remove in order to take out the front seats of a 2002 Monte Carlo. There are two in the back of the seat and two in the front of the seat. If you have heated seats you will also have to remove the wires for that before you take the seat out.
No, they aren't. The second row are larger (same as front seats) and the posts are further apart.
10 pounds of c4 and a bit of imagination... i could almost cleantec it
I don' believe the headrests can be removed. Aren't the seats all just one piece? You might want to stop by http://www.coloradofans.com and see what many other people have to say about it though. Deuce82 sent you ;)
remove the bolds to the seats. you will just have to look around for them. if i can remember right, they are in the front of the back seats, like the front lip, somewhere.
Use an axe
The easiest way is to remove the front seats from a Honda Accord dx 2004 is with the brackets attached; that way you should just have to unbolt them from the floorboard.
