The ignition barrel can be removed by removing the retaining ring. The barrel will slide out. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the barrel.

to remove stilo ignition barrel, look underneath the barrel. there is a square button holding the barrel in. put the key in the ignition, turn 2 notches, and press the button in with a screwdriver. Then wiggle the barrel out using the key.

you have to remove lower plastic cover should be two screws this will give you access to barrel holder place the key in barrel and there is a small pin that you have to press in with a small pointy object I used straightened paper clip when you have pushed in the pin turn key to acc then pulling on the key barrel should remove hope this has been of help
The barrel is not timed properly to the switch.

you need to have the ignition barrel in the on position otherwise you cant to it.

Remove the steering column surround and you should see a black round thing on the left hand side, this is the ignition switch. Remove this and you will see there is one screw holding the ignition barrel on, remove and you then need to insert your key and turn it to the ACC position. you should now be able to withdraw the barrel using the key but take care not to snap the key off in the barrel
