Remove the distributor cap and it will be bolted inside the distributor on the base plate.

You have a starter/ignition switch mounted in the steering column and you have a starter solenoid switch that is mounted to the starter.
my ignition module for a 93 s10 was hld by two small bolts on top of the distributor. don't drop one of them into a storm drain they are not easy to buy.

under the distributor cap. it is black plastic and has 2 small screws in it New answer: Sorry but that year did not use an ignition module. It use a crank senser and cam senser. If this is a S10 with the 4.3 L engine, it has an ignition module and it is attached to the bracket that also holds the ignition coil on the passenger side of the engine.
remove distribtrer cap,remove distributer.un plug from pick up coil.remove two bolts holding module..must use dielectric lube supplied with new module...coat entire metal surface before installing new module..distributer must be at top dead center when installing distributer unless you marked posision of rotor prior to removing....
