all you do is stick something like a small screwdriver in the little hole on the side to push down the lever, then use something like i scraping tool or something else to pry it out from the top, once u pry it out far enough you can either pull it out with your hands or pliers or something else that you think might work. (it can take a lot of work sometimes pulling it out)

How to remove ignition switch
It is threaded into the master cylinder. If you can't reach from under, remove the fuel tank to expose the master cylinder and brake light switch.
First unhook the battery. Then put the key in (you need it!) and turn it to "on." Remove the steering wheel and the ignition switch just slides out.
