- Remove wheel
- remove caliper and brake pads
- remove rotor
- you should use a ball-joint separator (a.k.a. pickle-fork) to remove the ball-joint otherwise it is a very difficult process.
There isn't one. Use the lower hose.
Unless common practice has changed, you should have to press the lower ball-joint down through the bottom of the lower A-arm to remove the joint.
If you remove the right front plastic fender liner on the caravan, the water pump is lower right of the engine.
Remove the tire and wheel. Remove the brake assembly and rotor. Remove the ball joint retaining nut. Pound the ball joint out with a hammer. Reverse the process to install the new ball joint.
Check with a dealer- ball joints on series of Dodge products where covered by recalls.
Lower front of the engine.
For the lower ball joint, remove the lower control arm and the ball joint seal. Press the ball joint from the control arm. Press the new ball joint into the lower control arm ensuring it is fully seated, install a new seal and the lower control arm.
with tire on ground remove cotter pin from axle nut and loosen nut. then lift car remove tire, caliper, rotor and cotter pin from tie rod end then remove nut. remove nut and bolt from lower ball joint to knuckle assembly and pry apart knuckle from lower ball joint with bar pressing on lower control arm. look inside knuckle you will see 4 bolts holding hub assembly to knuckle. remove and install new and reverse process, wow.

Remove brake caliper then caliper mounting frame, held to knuckle by 2 bolts lower down.
The upper portion of the assembly has to come off first, then you can access the lower portion which houses the air filter.
