In order to learn how to remove the real wheel on a Cub Cadet riding mower one may want to look on the Cub Cadet forums for advice. For a more efficient fix, though it will cost more, taking it to a lawn mower repair shop might be best.

If you are removing a rear wheel from a riding mower with a square keyway, there is no need to remove the keyway. The tire and rim will slide off with it in place. The rim is slotted all the way through. After removing the wheel you can simply grab it with pliers if you need to remove it for some reason.

Most Craftsman mower are held on by a clip. You will need to remove the black hubcap if it is still present. You can pry it off or use a pair of pliers to grab it and pull it off. Behind the hubcap is a "C" shaped clip which can be removed by inserting a screwdriver under the closed end and prying it away from the axle. Remove the washer and pull the wheel off. You're done. There is a keyway (a square piece of metal) that goes between the wheel and the axle that you need to keep and put it back in place when you are done. If it is not in place the mower will not move.

Well I'm pretty sure they made one this year....

Use a pair of pliers top remove the rubber hubcap. Then remove the clip near the end of the axle. (you can do this with a screwdriver by prying it in the center) once the clip is off you should be able to pull the wheel and tire straight off.

After opening hood, looking back toward your steering wheel it should be located on the left just under the battery

A Wheel Horse riding lawn mower that ran out of gas and will not turn over after refilling the gas tank might be vapor locked. Maybe it will start after it sits a while with the gas cap off. There isn't much else a person can do if the tank vapor locked.

Yes a lawn mower is a compound machine. Example: The wheel is a wheel and axle.

There should be a lock ring on the axle that prevents the wheel from sliding off while in service. Remove the lock ring and slide the wheel off the axle. You may need a lock rings pliers to remove it, or you might be able to do it with a small screw driver.

TO REMOVE WHEEL FOR REPAIRS • Block up axle securely. • Remove axle cover, retaining ring and washers to allow wheel removal (rear wheel contains a square key - Do not lose). • Repair tire and reassemble. • On rear wheels only: align grooves in rear wheel hub and axle. Insert square key. • Replace washers and snap retaining ring securely in axle groove.• Replace axle cover.

Put the mower up on a wooden block to get the wheel off the ground. Pry off the plastic bolt cover, remove the bolt with a #12 metric socket I believe, remove the wheel. Unbolt the gear drive from behind the wheel and install it on the replacement wheel.

The only to secure a bike to the back rack is to remove the front wheel. By removing this wheel it will prevent anyone from riding off on your bike no matter what.

Put the lawnmower on blocks so that the tire is not touching the ground. Loosen the wheel lugs. Pull the tire off. Replace with a new tire.
