Remove the two bolts from each of the passenger hand grips. Then lift the rear of the seat up while pulling the whole thing backwards. To remove the passenger pavillion, or back rest, open the trunk and remove two screws from the trunk lid that attaches the back rest. The hand grip bolts are sometimes a pain to get started back in. Hint use a wood dowel in three of the holes in order to help line up the whole seat while starting the 1st bolt. The bolts are flat on the end and difficult to get started. After market bolts have been made just for the 1800 seats and have the ends of the bolts tapered for ease the starting process. Some have just simple used a bench grinder and taper there own and then run a thread cleaner on the bolts afterwards. Actual this makes it sound tough to take off and replace the seat but it is really simple.
