Are you sitting down? If the bottom bolt is not there then the bolt is coming into the starter from the inside of the transaxal housing whick means a it's a CVCC type engine. Not sure if you have to pull the engine my accord's starter just went out and this is what I found by feeling no bolt on the bottom mount and sticking a pensicle in there and finding something blocking. The Chilton book that I have shows a pic of the bolt inside the houseing. I'm gona get durnk good luck

The other bolt is behind the stabelizer bar. if your hands and arms are small enough you can get behind it with a rachet wrench and not have to remove the stabelizer bar. It's the upper bolt on the short end of the stabelizer.

there's a bolt on the right front side and one from behind on the left side. Get the new one, look at it, make sure it matches the one that's in there, the bolt from the back is a little tricky, but you can get to it. I had to remove a stabilizer bar thingy to get a wrench and my arm in there. Mine's an 82 Honda accord 3 door hatch back, just swapped it out a month ago.

while looking at ste starter motor from the side of the car stick your left hand around past the upper bolt of the stabalizer bar you willm find a bolt use a # 14 open end wrench it will take time but i did it cool

If this has nothing to do with fuel, elect. or whatever. Then most likely the starter is pulling when hot. You would have to replace it.

I have a 1982 Honda Nighthawk. If you remove the bolt in the front of the motor on the bottom the fins and bolt will drop down. You will then see the oil filter cartridge. It looks like an air filter but it is for oil. Change the cartridge and reinstall.

It is located in the left rear of the car. Change the filter too and dont kink the hoses when you reinstall it. Sometimes the small set of contacts under the black plastic cap are to blame. Easy fix, just remove the black plastic cap on the pump and clean them up.

The starter solenoid may be bad. On a Chevrolet, it's integrated with the starter so you will have to remove the entire assembly (should be 2 9/16" bolts going up and unhook the 3 wires going to the starter, then take it to any auto store and get it tested and if necessary replaced.

disconnect the negative battery cable then the wires from the starter. Remove the mounting bolts and drop the starter down. Try this for Chev S10 problems. Buy the Chilton General Motors publication #28860. It covers S10s 1982-93 from detailing to engine rebuilds, including changing the starter.

Disconnect battery, jack up car, safely, so that you can go under the car. From above, identify and remove the two bolts that secure the starter motor. Leave the top one just in by about two threads. Working from underneath, remove the push on spade connector to the starter solenoid and the main terminal nut and remove battery cable (12mm hex). There is another bolt that needs to be removed from underneath. Now get an assistant to undo the bolt that was left in before from the top. Pull the starter motor towards the front of the engine from underneath and hand up to assistant. Good Luck.
