this is very simple ,..well i guess since i work on veh everyday,..but firts you removed the power from your battery positive cable would be preffered,.. then if working on floor would recommend two ceh jack astand for safety lift veh with jack till you easilly get with room under car there will be two bolt 14mm bolted upward loosen does only fore there may be shims at matting faces between blcok and starter loosen and removed battery cable from stater and starter command cable they are bolted to your starter solenoid now back to main bolts removed bolts and hand balance stater out of place,..sorry i did'NT state that there will be 1 13mm nut to main starter cable and a 8mm for starter command cable ,..simple as that !!!!
Remove the positive battery cable from your 1997 Chevy Blazer battery. Remove the cables from the front of your starter. Remove the starter retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new starter.

The Astro does not have a flywheel, it has a flexplate. To remove it you have to remove the transmission so you can unbolt it from the crankshaft.
