Look for the indentations under the column as there should be a few Phillips head screws holding it together like a clamshell.

It is important to have everything in the steering wheel column in its correct place. A diagram for the 1984 Grand Prix steering wheel column can be found in its maintenance manual.

In the steering column, the grand am has a multifunction fuse box
left side near the steering column
Under the dash attached to the steering column.
I believe it is directly under or just left of the steering column.
It should be located just to the right of the steering column under the dash. between the radio and column..
More than likely as long as it has the same motor?
The 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix OBD 2 port is on lower edge of dash; right of steering column
The 2000 Pontiac Grand Am OBD 2 port is on lower edge of dash; left of steering column
The 2001 Pontiac Grand Am OBD 2 port is on lower edge of dash; left of steering column
