remove timing cover
You will need to remove the fan and the water pump. You may have to remove the radiator to be able to have room to remove the balancer. Remove the bolt in the center of the crankshaft. Using a puller , pull off the balancer. Remove the bolts surrounding the timing. Pry the timing cover from the block. I do not know your reason for doing this but if you are wanting to remove the seal you DO NOT have to remove the timing cover.
you have to remove the valve cover , the oil pan and the front timing cover. Then line up all the timing marks and remove the tensioners and guides then remove the cam gears and the chain
next to the timing chain you will find it in the cover on front of engine where the water pump is mounted they call it the timing chain cover you will have to remove this cover to get at it
Remove the exhaust manifold. This lets you pull it out. Also, you have to remove the timing cover. The pump is driven by the timing chain. You have to remove the timing cover and timing chain tensioner to get the pump sprocket out of the chain.
Remove the valve cover
just remove the water pump not the timing cover
Remove 1 Auxiliary Drive Belts. 2 LH top engine mounting. 3 Crankshaft Pulley 4 Cylinder head cover 5 Timing belt upper cover 6 Timing belt lower cover
carefully
First you need to support the engine from underneath, so you can remove the motor support right above the cover you want to remove. Remove serpentine belt, tensioner and this should give you enough room to remove the timing belt cover.
