There is no reason to remove the roof of the golf cart for transport. The fasteners are strong and the plastic on the roof is made for transporting it. If you are going to trailer your golf cart you should make sure that the cart is going in the direction with the wind otherwise your golf cart windshield will split and fall off. You should trailer your golf carts with the windshield intact but folded down. You should also tie a piece of string around it to reduce the possibility of it moving.
It probably needs a replacement motor or one of the roof mechanisms have failed.

Starting in 1979*, the Vokswagen Cabriolet (or Cabrio) has been a convertible based on the VW Golf (also marketed in the U.S. early in its life as the Rabbit.) The only substantial difference for the Cabriolet is its soft folding top, a roll bar to protect occupants if the car turns over, and various reinforcements to keep the body stiff despite the loss of its steel roof. The Golf/Rabbit has been a sales success in the U.S. and Europe, has won many awards, and is generally praised by car magazines and reviewers for its sporty handling, quick acceleration and comfortable interior. When it comes to cars, "good" is usually a matter of opinion rather than a matter of fact. However, from most perspectives, the Cabriolet would be considered a good car. *Note: Even though the Rabbit/Golf has been produced since 1979, there were no Cabriolet/Cabrio versions from 2002 to 2011.
