Go to the library's reference section and see the Chilton Automotive guide. Bring a pad of paper or change for the copier.
Drain the water from your Chevrolet 5.7 liter engine cooling system. Remove the water pump return hose. Remove the water pump belt. Remove the water pump retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new water pump.

take of the belt and the belt pully for the water pump wich is located on the passenger side of motor form lower radiaotor hose. unscrew water pump bolts and remove old water pump.
