I actually have a little device that i went out to Petco and bought, that works really well for getting rid of ticks. if you don't have one, then i suggest you take a paper towel or a tissue, and grab the tick firmly by the head, the part closest to your animals skin, and rock it gently back and forth until the tick comes out. then immediately take a credit card, or other similar item, and squish the tick until it is dead, otherwise it will jsut attach itself to you or your animal.
