If you mean how do i rename my pen drive you should just simply right click it and click rename then you should type the name that you want to give it. If you want to rename Documents you can just do the same thing - right click rename etc. Hope this is of some help.
you can only rename partitions when unmounted. So what I would try is to unmount the drive, fire up GParted and rename the partition. But you could also connect it to a windows box and do it from there. But then you would need a windows box, and not everyone has that readily available
Are you asking how do you "rename" the C drive? or how to place a folder in C drive named Kenya?
rename [drive:][path]filename1 filename2 Example: rename "C:\Users\JohnDoe\Documents\OldExampleFile.txt" "NewExampleFile.txt" This renames the file "OldExampleFile.txt" in location "C:\Users\JohnDoe\Documents" to "NewExampleFile.txt"
Most of the time it's C/ but you can rename it what ever.

You rename a directory the same way you rename a file. Use the 'mv' command to rename it.
its just like naming a folder. You have to: 1. left click on the drive once it has been located on the computer 2. underneath where it says 'create short cut' and above where it says 'properties' there is 'rename' 3. click on 'rename' and you are able to name it whatever you like
You can safely name external and internal hard drives whatever you want on a Mac.
