you have to drop and drain the tank as the sender unit that activates the guage is fitted to the top of the tank.. word to the wise for a 15yr old car get the sender switch 1st.. and a new set of tank straps as the straps that hold the tank in place can break as you undo the bolts yanno rust etc
Someone other than myself suggested to get a magnet (capable of lifting 50 lbs.) and run it over the gauge in the direction you wnat it to move.
Dead cell in battery, a light is on somewhere on the vehicle, or a relay is stuck.
Remove the float from the Regal. inspect the float for leaks, then check the spring and needle valve as it could be stuck. If all parts are ok then the parts need cleaning as they are sticking.
Stuck/faulty fuel pump relay or possibly a faulty ECM.
Well, it sounds like the chip that is in your key may have broke or got stuck on a part of the ignition. I had that problem. This happened not long after I had had to have the ignition replaced?!?
If the fuel gauge is stuck, the needle never moves, then the gauge has a problem and needs to be replaced.
The fuel gauge on a Chevy may become stuck if the sending unit is defective or become disconnected. Without a signal from the tank, the gauge will not move.
either the fuel gauge needs replacing or the fuel gauge sending unit in the fuel tank is stuck
The wiper motor bracket has a tab that can bend causing the wipers to park vertical. Either attempt to bend the tab back, or replace the wiper motor bracket itself.

My 1999 buick regal temperature control LED readout is stuck on 32 degrees for high and minus 2 for low. It still works but is there a way to reset LED reading? Thanks in advance
I have the same problem right now and im trying to figure it out. if you have any suggestions i would be glad to take them...but i think its the Neutral safety switch but im not 2 sure yet.
