You don't. You buy a new brake light switch. They are not repairable.

Warning Light for Parking [Emergency] BrakeUsually, the cause for this is that the switch used to sense the position of the Parking brake lever is either out of adjustment, or the contacts within the switch are stuck together. The switches are usually operated by a "plunger" pin which is spring loaded. When the Parking Brake is applied, it presses the plunger in, closing the switch, and causing the light to turn on.When the Parking Brake is "OFF, an internal [usually] spring pushes the plunger "out," opening the warning light circuit and thus turning the light off.Occasionally on some vehicles, this is just backwards, IE, plunger "in" turns light on, and plunger "out" turns light off.You will have to analyze the operation of your Parking Brake in relation to when the light is on or off compared to the brake lever position. The switch is "adjusted" by moving it closer or farther away from the arm that pushes the plunger pin in, or allows it to move out.
There is a brake light switch mounted high up on the brake pedal. The switch has a plunger which is released (extends) when you step on the brake pedal. This completes an electrical circuit. The switch has either come loose from where is it mounted so that the plunger is released all the time or part of the plunger has broken off. This has the same effect as having the plunger released.
There should be a bracket mounted on the steering column near the floor. This will have a switch in it that is a plunger type. When the shaft of the brake pedal is depressed, it comes into contact with this plunger and activates the brake light circuit. If you "ride the brakes", your brake lights will always be on because of the minimal pressure required to activate this circuit.
Check the brake light switch. It is mounted high up on the brake pedal (has a plunger on the end). The plunger on the switch has either broken off or the switch has come loose from where it is mounted to the pedal.
There's should be a brake light switch under the dash right behind the brake pedal arm. Sounds like it needs to be re-adjusted. The switch has a plunger that pulls out. Pull it all the way out, then just press the brake pedal down. You should hear a clicking as the plunger is re-adjusting back into the switch. Your just re-adjusting the plunger so that when you let off the brake pedal it will not be pushing on the brake light switch. hope this helped
I think the brake light switch is only about $20-$25 dollars at an auto parts store. I'm not ever sure you can put the plunger back in one. I suggest getting a new one.
brake light plunger switch on the brake pedal maybe faulty, remove it and connect the two wires together and pull apart and see if lights go on and off
Attached to the break pedal arm. Looks like a plunger like thing.
Check brake light switch - could be defective or not aligned properly
You have a problem with the brake system. Once you repair the problem the light will reset itself.
The stop light switch may cause the problem. If not adjusted properly it will not allow the cruise to engage. Check that there is no contact with the switch (Plunger) while the brake is not being depressed.
under ure brake pedal u have a brake switch simple fix.
