More than likely the gauge is NOT the problem.Just make a jumper wire and disconnect the sending unit wire from the water temperature sender and place one end in the connector and ground it to the block and the gauge should work or show say hot.If it does show the gauge show the needle in the hot it is the sender is faulty and should be replaced. If the gauge does show the needle move to hot and moves to the cold it will be the gauge is bad(not likely in most cases).Have a helper in the truck to turn the key to the ON position not running when you ground the sending wiring to the block to note wether it moves up to hot or down to cold when you do this to simplify the issue.I will bet the sending unit for the water temperature is just worn out most of the time.
where is fuel gauge and how to replaced for a 1986 Mazda pick up B2000 please let me know thank you
you need to replace the gas gauge sending unit in the tank, or your gauge is broken
There is a coolant temperature sensor and a temperature gauge sensor. the coolant sensor is located on driver side of the cylinder head. screws right into it, and the temperature gauge sensor is on the front side of the cylinder head right under the distributor. hope this helps
Check your antifreeze? And could possibly be a head gasket.
It has been removed due to being a modern car
Browning B2000 shotguns in nice shape can be readily bought for under $500.
350
May be a lose connection at top center of tank for sending unit.. Or Rust has likely eaten into float or mechanism as with most early 80's Mazda Pickups. There is no aftermarket replacement for sending unit or fuel tank.. Good Luck!!!
pull the gauge cluster and check to make sure all the wires are hooked up. if not it will probably be the sending unit or even problems with the fuel pump. pull the gauge cluster and check to make sure all the wires are hooked up. if not it will probably be the sending unit or even problems with the fuel pump.

I have worked on many engines, I would guess broken valve. Check every cylinder with a pressure gauge. If zero broken valve, if all have good pressure, timing. If timing good, fuel. maybe flooding.
Most likely you have a faulty temperature sending unit, which is located on the front top of the engine block. Before you do this procedure, make sure there are no lose or broken wires from the sending unit, to the temperature gauge on the front dash board.
