The slab is usually 4 inches thick. Fill over new plumbing with dirt. Bring the last couple of inches to level with bottom of slab with pea gravel. Pour new concrete ( a crack resistent Quickcrete or similar) 4 inches to bring level with existing slab. Trowel smooth.
