before you begin know this requires intermediate skill. remove the door glass first, if you cannot do this much take it to a shop. if you look closely, you will see that the wire regulator in the door works both ways, also the wire sheath retaining clips must stay on as you do this ; I recommend Duct Tape. even if the regulator is not bolted in, what is most important is keeping the wire in position and in the sheaths in place , inspection of the wire spool indicates that you must first put in one wire (I forgot witch), roll up the spool, and then insert the other wire in the small slot. the wire ends will be different so look at the slots first and study the other door for reference. if you get this mess back together the spool should unroll one wire whilst spooling up the other one. then you can bolt the regulator on, use the handle and see the glass bracket move up and down. glass, trim, panel and you are done. if the wire guides on the spool are busted you will need another one, 60$ used i bet ...... good luck young jedi.

Look on eBay for the repair kit 3 small plastic parts that will repair the window moter for about 6.00 and if you need a regulator they are there to for 20.00 to 45.00

You can put a manual rollup window back on track, in your 1994 Chevy Cavalier, by removing the inside door panel. The window track is easily visible with the door panel removed.
