Open the tailgate and tilt it out at approximately a 45 degree angle; disconnect the two cables on each end by inserting a flat screwdriver under the lip of the retaining clip and slide the cable to remove it from the "screw"; now lift the right side of the tailgate toward you while still holding it at a 45 degree angle, it should slide off the right hinge easily; now pull the tailgate to the right and it should slide off the left hinge.

make sure the hooks on the hinge on either side of the gate arent closed otherwise basically turn the hook so the hinge is fully open so it will snap on
Simply remove the cables that support the tailgate. They just clip off. Support your tailgate so that you don't scratch the paint. Lift the tailgate towards vertical, lift and one side will now come off the hinge. Remove the tailgate from the other side by pulling horizontally. Reinstall oppposite to these directions
