first thing first you are going to have your hand full when doing this type of job... the best way to do it is taking the engine out the car... because it make it eazy for you to work on it... you could do the job with the motor still in the car but you gonna spend more time doing it this way so its best to take the engine out save you the ball busting work and some time... you going to need a few thing in order to take on this type of work... you will need an cherry picker and a engine stand. but in order to take the motor out you will have to remove the transmission blots converter blots air duct battery and battery plate unplug all sensor being careful not to pull them just take your time dont need to replace part for nothing remove hoses trust me you going to need 10mm 12mm 14mm 15mm socket. braker bar have to remove the alternator remove the motor mounts from the engine only remove the headers. the intake manifold... its best to take pictures of this before and after label all blots and nuts this will save you the headache. becareful when removing the fuel rail and the injectors. just put it to the side dont need to remove it just place it in the side. its good to have some one to help you with this because you aint going to do this by yourself trust me... keep in mind that you will need to remove pulleys, belts, crankshaft pulley in order to put this back on timing remember this type motor used timing chain not belts the camshaft have marks on them 2 on top and 1 on the crankshaft it better to have a repair book for this just to get the right line up... keep in mind this is very important you dont wont to jump timing always put number 1 cylinder on top dead center this will insure you the timing is at top dead center. this is only to start the job keep in mind there still other things to be remove I hope this is a start for you other tools are needed to remove the heads so make sure you do your home work and good luck...
