Electric doors?? Are you talking about door locks? If so, even though they are electric, you can still operate them manually. Disconnect the power to the door locks and they are then manual.
I am not sure. My 05 locks will not work at all after I changed out my bad battery. driver side window will not work either. looks like I will have to pay a vsit to the dealership.
You take it to an auto shop and have them do it
Could be the electric lock solenoid, or the electric lock mechanism itself.
It is behind the back door and have a switch.
Check your fuses.
whats the problem?
I was just talking to a guy about this today. He had replaced the lock/latch mechanism on the tailgate of a trailblazer and after replacing, it still didnt work. So he called the dealer and what he learned was that after replacing the lock it had to be retrained/relearned (one or the other?). In order to do this it needed to be taken to the dealership or to someone that has the knowledge and equipment to do such a thing. He was also told that when any one of the locks are removed that it effects all of the locks on the vehicle, so in turn all of the locks have to be relearned. The dealer quoted him a price of $150.00 to do this.Luckily he had a friend who owned a repair shop who was able to do the procedure for about $50.00.This friend used to be a GM service tech for many years up until a few years ago, so this is why he was able to do it. Your average run of the mill repair shop would not likely be able to do such a thing. Hoping this helps you.
Hi I've almost the same problem except that my power windows are working fine If you have solve your problem can you write me at firstname.lastname@example.org Thanks Alex
If the locks and rear window hatch on a 1998 Chevy Blazer lock and unlock by themselves, there is probably a problem with the fuse or a short somewhere. The locks are supposed to lock when the vehicle gets put in gear. Perhaps the system that tells the locks when to lock is not working properly.
Remove the fuse or the relay.
Locks up the torque converter.
To repair the wiring on the trucks door locks, you will have to find the problem first. Check all of the wires connectors for loose or bad connections, and look for any places in the wiring where the insulation has worn through.
yes if you are just buying those doors because they are cheaper you can put you electric locks and windows in the non electric doors
Mirrors Locks (MIR LKS). The fuse is for the power mirrors and power locks on the vehicle.
A locksmith is a security professional who does a great deal more than "Pick locks on doors". In fact, except for those locksmiths who specialize in emergency work only, picking locks is NOT a major part of a locksmiths business. A locksmith knows how to re-key locks and when it is appropriate to do so, repair or replace broken locks, install new locks, formulate master key systems, install and repair door closers, cut multiple types of keys. They know life safety and fire regulations as pertains to doors and locking systems. They can usually can repair doors which are not opening and closing properly. They usually can change safe combinations.
