Unless you have access to the tools and press necessary plus the impeller, bushings, and other parts that are needed to repair a water pump, it is much simpler to buy another one. Rebuilt water pumps also come with a lifetime-warranty for a few extra dollars.

On the 3.5 intrepid engine, the water pump is run by the timing "belt"- no timing chain on this motor. Not sure about the 3.3 motor. On the 3.3L the water pump is driven by the serpentine belt.

check to see if water pump is failing this will throw the timing off and will only get worse eventually the belt will snap and bend the valves in the motor and then its very costly to repair
the water pump is located on the passenger side of the motor. you will need to remove a lot of other parts to even see the water pump. it is driven by the timing belt.

If this is a 4cylinder motor, the water pump is located in with the timing belt,and should be replaced by a qualified mechanic, this is a interference motor, if timing belt is not properly installed, motor damage will result. Bent valves, holes in pistons,etc.
You cannot repair the water pump. It needs to be replaced.
