It doesn't have a heater control valve. The coolant flows through the core at all times. Temp control is done only by air direction in the AC/heater box.

In line on the heater hoses on the passenger side of the engine. Has a small vacuum line to it and both heater hoses go through it. The heater hoses are smaller than the radiator hoses and go through the firwall.

The climate control popping noise in the air heater box under the dash that is causing the vehicle to be unable to switch from heat to air is a stuck valve. This value can be opened manually by removing the lower dash cover and reaching behind the glove box.
