If you mean the bulb failure light; The bulb failure detector compares the current drawn by the left bulb to the right bulb and lights the bulb failure light if the currents are not equal. I have never seen a bad one. The usual reason the light is still lit after the bad bulb is changed is because the new bulb is not an exact match or the contacts are corroded. Try two new bulbs. Tail Light Failure sensor has detected a bad bulb or there is a loose connection. Have someone step on brak with headlights on...see what doesn't light or is dim. If dim, tighten screws on contact wires inside bulb holder assembly.
The bulb failure lamp on a 1999 Opel Vectra B?æis located on the dash board. It is an operational amplifier chip.
BE sure to replace rear side marker lamps (194) in upper side of each taillight lens..They are hard to see and I had the same problem. Replaced both ( one on each side) and failure report cleared.
