Trying to replace passenger side tailight on a 2002 Jeep Liberty. Cannot disconnect the plug and the replacement connector looks different from the original! Thanks Jim
replace rear tail light bulb
The 2006 Jeep Liberty rear tail light lens does not come off. The tail light is seal. You can access the tail light lightbulb through the back of the tail light, in the cargo compartment.
Tail light lens, or assemble.
yes
TORX T-15
Check the fuse, it is a separate fuse for the right and left side as well as for the tail light and turn signals.
take the screws out if the tail light and pull the old one out
Is your tail light out? Is the relay good? Replace the bulbs in your tail lights, should cost about $4. If that does not do it, go to your local parts store and buy a new relay. Rarely a bad switch.
you don't replace the tail light you just replace the bulb in it
there are 2 torx head screws that hold the tail light on. you will need to open the back gate to get to them. then there are two snap connectors that hold the tail light to the body. you will need to pull straight back torward the rear of the jeep to get these to come loose.
I ordered mine on Sunday the part cost $33.00 including S&H from Quadratec.
