supposibly there is a kick panel under the dash there are four bolts holding it on after getting it off there is one more bolt which is the cabin filter housing take it out and pull down on the panel there are two filters in there you pull the first one straight down the the next one you will have to pull sideways then down however i have a 1999 model and is the same body style as the 1998 and i can't seem to find one on it my kick panel doesn't come out as easy as most that iv seen.
