You will find the fuel filter underneath the driver's seat on the underside of the car. First de-pressurize the fuel system by either pulling out the fuel pump fuse or disconnecting the fuel engager in the upper-right of the passenger footwell, and then running the car in park until the car dies.
Next, crawl under the driver's side. Disconnect the fuel lines on each side (2) of the fuel filter, pop out the clips holding the fuel filter in place, and replace with the new filter. Put everything back in place and start the car. You may need to turn the keys on and off several times in the ignition to get the car started, as it is fuel-injected.
You don't try to unclog it you just replace it with a new one.

On the passenger side of the engine
