It's probably easier to just buy a whole new headlight assembly. Ebay has some good deals, otherwise they're usually $75 ordered through a salvage yard (aftermarket parts). I have a 96 Corolla w/ a busted headlight mount and I haven't been able to find any way to deal with it other than to just buy new.
You just do it. Hint there is a tricky switch you need to find once you do the whole things fall apart.
You have to replace the entire headlight assembly not just the cover.
remove the retaining screws. pul oyt headlight and unplug it. plug in the new one and replace the retaining screws.
First, if the headlight is dimmed check the fuses first. And all that is holding the light in is a few screws
You can watch a video of how to do it here:www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5DgMGpVz6k
