How do you replace a manual transmission fluids in a 1994 ford ranger?

answer. there are two plugs on the drivers side of the transmission/same size

the upper one is your fill plug the lower one is your drain plug {good so far }

now the transmission will take automatic Transmission Fluid DEXRON III MERCON

how much did you say? I buy three quarts a little for the drive way you know!

Get a five gallon plastic bucket cut it so it fits under the truck be sure the truck

is on level ground, e-brake on wheels chalked,{ are we still good } un screw

the lower drain plug allow to drain wipe area now replace drain plug.unscrew

the upper plug {this is your fill plug }.get your self about a foot of 3/8" clear

tubing and some electrical tape remove the cap from your quart bottle of

transmission fluid and put a hole just big enough to squeeze the tubing in

about an inch put the cap back on your bottle and tape the tubing to the cap

put the end of the tubing in the upper hole and squeeze, and so on with the

next bottle, when fluid starts coming back out your full, replace plug
